The forms processing in IITM Solution begins with the conversion of paper or other documents into digitized images. These images can be easily organized and quickly retrieved, indexed and archived. When files are scanned or electronically converted at IITM, a high resolution digital copy is stored on a hard drive or optical disc. Templates, or electronic index cards, can have information attached to them, such as author, reference number, date created, or key words. Files can still be viewed, printed, shared and stored. The access to these documents depends on the level of security that the system administrator has assigned to the user.

Conversion of input scanned images to PDF files (text-searchable/normal & image PDFs) are carried out after performing image enhancement functions and also applying the required touch-up, Adobe Photoshop etc. The image enhancement process is followed by conversion of the enhanced images to text-searchable PDF files as per project-specific requirement using Acrobat Exchange.

This is the process of composing a textual document which not only involves keyboarding (typing in the words), but also proofing activity for checking the spelling and grammar of the text and arranging it on the page correctly, as per the prescribed document format. A variety of different typefaces (fonts) are available, for a variety of effects and it is also possible to include equations, pictures, graphs, charts and many other items within the text of the document as per requirement.
