Program Duration

Skills Development Initiative (SDI) is an effort at improving the average job aspirant so that he/she obtains a reasonable job within a short time span. Upto 50% of the participants can also join IITM after successfully completing any of the two levels. More details are given in the Special Attraction section of this page.

During the session, we will invite key members from the professional bodies to come and share industry knowledge essential for success in the job market. The program can be likened as 'a finishing school' and the 'trained people' are the output that organizations can efficiently utilize from the day one at a particular job.

The program is designed into two segments depending on the candidate’s previous background, capabilities & his/her assessment test results. Entry exams may apply. Those who have adequate background are directed to attend the professional level;  all others are required to start at the entry level.

Finally, we are extensively in discussion with local organizations and have designed the course based on our interactions with these organizations. Once you join our program, you become exposed to our total network, which comprises a long list of organizations and decision makers.

Trained personnel are hard to find in Bangladesh in spite of the availability of a large pool of human resource. Special Attraction to Participants

Upon successful completion of the either Apprenticeship level or the Professional  level, we will offer contractual jobs ranging from 4 months to 12 months to upto 50% of the graduates. 

Apprenticeship Level: At this level upon successful completion of the program, the following contractual job offer will be extended:

• Best Performer - 4 Month Contract Job at tk 6000/mo      total  -tk 22,000

• 2nd Best Performer - 4 Month Contract Job at tk 5000/mo  total tk 20,000

• 3rd Best Performer - 3 Month Contract Job at tk 5000/mo total tk. 15,000

• 4th  and 5th Best Performer tk 1000 cash incentive each

Professional Level: At this level upon successful completion of the program, the following contractual job offer will be extended:

• Best Performer - 6 Month Contract Job at tk 6500/mo       total -tk 39,000

• 2nd Best Performer - 4 Month Contract Job at tk 6000/mo  total tk 24,000

• 3rd Best Performer - 4 Month Contract Job at tk 5500/mo total tk. 22,000

• 4th  and 5th Best Performer tk 1200 cash incentive each

Note: If each class has less than 5 participants, then the job offer will be extended to the best performer. If participants are between 6 and 8, then the top 2 participants will be offered the job. If participants are between 9 and 11, then the top 3 participants will be offered the job. If participants are between 12 and 14, then the top 4 participants will be offered the job. If there are more than 14 participants, then up to 7th participant will get some incentive. In that case, the 6th and 7th participant will receive tk 1000 each from either of the two levels.

Classes and Duration

• 2 Classes per week
• 2 1/2 hours per class - which includes lectures, group discussions and various activities
• 3 hours self-study/practical training/group study/assignments

*Note – The individuals having very poor knowledge of computer, additional fees and course will be applied.

Program Fees and Mode of Payment

IITM offers a unique program that will open many doors to your career. IITM is committed for the welfare & for individuals of Bangladesh. For running the program IITM will incur a substantial cost. The charge for the program is given below:

Tk. 7500/= ( Apprenticeship Level)        - 16 to 17 Weeks- 3  1/2 Month

Tk. 8500/= (Professional Level)              - 12 to 13 Weeks - 3 Months

If 3 or more known persons join the program together, then enjoy 5% discount over the above quoted fees.

*Note – If you want to participate at both levels, you will receive 10% discount that will be adjusted during the final payment at the 2nd  level.  An exam fee of tk 150 will apply if you are intending to join at the 2nd level. 80% Refund available within 7 days from commencement of classes and 60% available 14 days from commencement. No further refund beyond this period. If you are interested in IITM's internal job placement, you have to inform us at the time of joining the program. Please add tk 750, if you are paying in 2  equal installments. Both Installments are due within 21 days from the date of class commencement. During program duration, you have to abide by the IITM policies and maintain a professional disposition at all times. If you are not interested in joining as IITM's internal staff, then you may pay 10% less towards your final fees.

 Medium of Instruction

Our trainers would take care of you according to your preference. Both English and Bengali are used in classes. However, to prepare you for the right job, we will lean more towards conversations and written communications in English.

To get a suitable job an individual must possess several skills. Depending on these skills performance of the applicant for a job is evaluated. Using a scientific approach, at IITM, we will be improving upon your following skills:

In getting jobs, an individual is required 75% (app) of marks as the total sum is given above. In our country, a large number of job seekers become disqualified, for not attending the desired quality. As a result, they loose opportunity to grab lucrative job offers. In order to make up these deficiencies our SDI will be worthy for the less deserving applicants.
